One Front Rack feature a raised front edge, and the platform measures about 8" (20cm) long and 6.3" (16cm) wide. The height can be customised as required. See below how to measure your bike.

One Front Rack Fitting requirements:

  • Handlebars size 31.8, 25.4 and 22.2. Also 22.2 by adding under the spacers a few layers of electrical tape
  • Threadless and quill stems (-6 to +40 degrees)
  • Stem face plate size 30-55mm in width
  • 12mm free space on each side of the stem
  • Minimum 2" (5cm) of space between the bottom of the rack and the top of the front tyre or mudguard. You can get away with less by using light, hard flat bottomed cargo

Note:

  • This rack is a lightweight accessory made to keep your luggage away from your headtube and front tire. All cargo should be tied to the handlebar and so very little weight should rest on the rack. For heavy cargo, racks like Nitto M18 are more suited.
  • This rack will be made to order. Lead time can be as much as 2 weeks
  • The One Front Rack height is measured from the top of the handlebar near the stem to the bottom of the rack.
Read on for how to measure your bike
  • All measurements are +/- 1/4 inch (6mm)
  • The straps are not included but you can use what you have at hand. See pictures for inspiration and strap well. We can't be held responsible for any accidents.
  • *All weights are approximated. A 9" tall Rack weighs about 180g + 14g for the set of spacers.

Warning:

Entanglement of an object in your wheel could stop the rotation of the wheel, causing a loss of control or crash that could lead to serious injury. Always secure this rack, all cargo and luggage with strong straps. Make sure that straps and cargo do not interfere with the rotation of your wheels BEFORE attempting to ride, and periodically check for proper and safe clearance during every ride. By purchasing this rack, you agree that you will be using it solely at your own risk. Under no circumstances shall we have any liability to you for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of this product.

One Front Rack Sizing:

To simplify things, the One Front Rack height is measured from the top of the handlebars to the bottom of the rack.

Clearance:

Make sure you will have at least 2" of tyre clearance. For this measure the distance from the front tyre, or mudguard if fitted, and the top of your handlebar near the stem. Remember to factor in the suspension travel.

That measurement , minus the 2", will be size of the tallest rack you can fit on this bike.
Example: The tallest rack we can do is 10". This can be used only on bikes that measure at least 12" or 30cm (10" rack height +2" clearance) between the top of the handlebars and the tire.

To size the One Front Rack for a certain handlebar bag:

  1. Fill the bag with clothes fully, but so you can still close the lid.
  2. Place the bag on the table and measure the distance from the table to the top strap, where it comes out from dowel or foam spacer if used
  3. To that measurement just add 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5-4cm) to find your rack height for this particular bag. Round up if you find it to be in between sizes (e.g. if you need an 8.5" front rack then order 9")

Example: The Carradice Barley bag measures just over 6.5" (16.5cm) and it fits nicely on an 8" (20cm) rack. We need the handlebar bag to hold its own weight. The One Front Rack it's there to keep the bag away from the tyre and headtube.
